HOW DOES THIS MANAGEMENT PARAMETER EMPOWER MY OWN TEACHING PRACTICUM?

Well, I think that is really necessary to take into account “Time” in our classes because it can help me to know how much time I am going to use for each activity which I have planned in my lesson plan. It’s going to be a good way to realize everything that I thought or which I have planned.

In some cases maybe we finished our activities but we finished them bad because maybe we are not carefully take into account how much time we can use for each activity, for example at the beginning or ending classes, we can use the first five minutes or the last five minutes but the question is how can we take advantage of them? Well we can take advantage of them doing different activities like: warm ups, time fillers or feedbacks, all of them are important but the question is Why? Because if we talk about the first five minutes we can use them like a motivation, when we enter to the classroom but if we talk about the last five minutes we really can take advantage of them because we can make a quiz in which we can know how much our students have learned during the class so, I can say that “time” empower my own teaching practicum in a strategic way because I can organize my time if I clearly prepare my lesson plan.

ORGANIZING FOR INSTRUCTION

Well, I think that when we are going to talk about “Organizing for instruction” we have to take in to account that as a teacher we have to look for new strategies which can help us to organize all of our students. As teacher we know that students are the most important factors of the learning process; for that reason, I always ask my students to do activities which permit them to work as a group or sometimes as individuals. I know that is really interesting to know how time we are going to use for each activity. Instructional time is an important factor that I have to take into account when I am going to do my lesson plan. Also, instructional time will help me to know how much time I`ll use for each topic which I’ll teach during my practicum.

I know that I have a little experience teaching, but at the same time, I know that this practicum will help me to learn more about effective things that a teacher always as to take into account in teaching.  

MY TEACHING PRACTICUM

I am at “General Gerardo Barrios” school. I am teaching in 8^th grade, most of the students, say that English is a difficult subject; for that reason, they almost don’t obey directions but at the same time, they try to understand, although they know that English is not their favorite subject, there are a half of the grade who hates English but the other one half loves it. I know that it is going to be a challenge, and I also know that all up to me, if they will enjoy or if they won`t enjoy English. I try to do different kind of activities, which they can be comfortable. I know that teaching practicum will help me to develop all of my skills like practitioner; also in the future it’s going to develop all my skills like to do a good job to be a good teacher.

CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATION

Well, I saw this video, and I can say that is really necessary  to have a good classroom management and organization because if we achieve that in our classes, they are going to be successfully and also we are going to have discipline and attention from all of our students. This classroom management and organization includes the attitude from students and teacher.

In my teaching practicum I try to do a good classroom management and organization, I know that it is not easy but with a little effort, I will do it. In some cases it is difficult because as teachers we have to prepare our lesson plan but failed because maybe, we don’t take control of our students; for that reason, we must put some rules which our students have to follow and if they follow them, we are going to take advantage of them.

The following thing which we have to take into account is to prepare all the materials which we are going to use because this is a good way to catch our students’ attention. And also they will want to receive them. We have to prepare good all the materials before to teach classes because if we prepare good the classes, everything will be ok.

TEACHER AS A PERSON!!!!!!!!!!!

I think that the Social interactions with students and Knowing with students are the most important characteristics that a teacher as a person must have, and also I think that both of them are similars because the firts one, is about how a teacher must be with his/her students for example : like teachers we must be not only, teachers but also friends because we have to know our students, we have to know what they need and it can be possible only if we have social interactions with them.The following is similar because as I said we have to know their necesities and we have to know them in a personal way and also like students!!!!! For that reason I think to be teachers is a total challenge!!!!!!!!!!

What Makes a great teacher?

 

Well , I think,this video talk about many important things that makes a great teacher and one of these is the experience that a teacher can has and also another important thing is the passion how a teacher can teach!!!!

Like teachers we have to feels teaching in our blood, because if we feel good when we are teaching we are going to teach in a good way, also I think another tool to be a great teacher are all the experience that we are going to get in our life like teachers, some of these experiences are going to be bad and good but it doesn`t matter because if they a re going to be good o bad, they always are going to create new knowledges for us, These knowledges can be about students behaviors or how our students can learn in a easy and funny way and some ways to motivate our students!!!!! 

"Prerequisites of effective teaching"

Well, I read the chapter one about "prerequisites of effective teaching" I think one of the most important prerequisite that a teacher have to perform is "Educational coursework" because there are many advantages that a teacher with this prerequisite can have for example: A teacher with this prerequisite doesn`t have difficulties in the areas of classroom management, curriculum development, student motivation and specific teaching strategies;for that reason, I think this is the most important, because a teacher has to be in a constant learning and it only will be possible if a teacher take educational "Coursework"
